Vehicle Flood Damage Facts & Employee Pricing in Clarksville TN

In response to the recent heavy rains and subsequent flooding that severely damaged local residents homes and vehicles, Nissan North America will offer "Employee Pricing" to individuals who were impacted by the storm. If an individual sustained vehicle damage or loss, they can take advantage of this special offer that is normally reserved for Nissan employees or their immediate family members. Our aim is to get you back on your feet and back behind the wheel.
Who is Eligible: Any Tennessee and bordering Kentucky county resident whose vehicle was damaged by the recent floods April 30, 2010 - May 3, 2010.
Qualifying Vehicles: All new Nissan or Infiniti vehicles; except GT-R & 1.6 Versa sedan. Employee Pricing: Eligible customers are entitled to the "A" Vehicle Purchase Plan normally reserved solely for Nissan Employees?offering the following discounts below invoice IN ADDITION to current customer cash rebate offers:
$750 below invoice on Versa, Sentra, and Cube
$1,000 below invoice on Altima, Altima Coupe, Rogue, Xterra, and Frontier
$1,500 below invoice on Pathfinder, Titan, Maxima, Murano, and 370Z

Valid driver's license or proof of residency
Insurance card for proof of ownership
Insurance claim number and insurance adjuster damage appraisal form, including location, date, and cause of damage/loss

What should I do if my car has been under water? 1. Contact your insurance company. 2. Evaluate the height of the flood waters around your car. If flood waters reached the mid-point of the tire or higher, do not start your car because that may cause more damage. Once the floodwater subsides, get your car towed and send it to an ASE certified technician who can look for unseen damage. Your insurance company may have specific requirements on where to send your car so make sure to ask your agent.
At what point is the car not repairable? The reality is, if the water has reached that midpoint on your tire, you most likely want it to be declared a total loss. Once an automobile has been flooded, the entire electrical system becomes questionable and many critical systems are located on the bottom of the car. Again, do not start the car and owners should find an ASE certified technician to determine further damage.
How do insurance companies typically determine my cars value? A car's value is determined after it's declared a 'total loss.' Once that is decided, each company has its own proprietary list of car values and specialized software for valuing cars in each region. but they do take into consideration the car's mileage and pre-accident condition.
Will my insurance cover a flood? Most full coverage or comprehensive coverage policies will cover floods.
