Nobody would argue the fact that mustard-colored cabs are as much of a New York City staple as hot dog vendors and crowded streets. But just because the high-use of taxis isn't changing, doesn't mean the way in which those traffic-weaving vehicles operate has to stay the same. Beginning next spring, NYC will introduce six electric Nissan LEAF cabs into the mix, giving the taxicab industry a bit more eco-friendly cred.

There are many safety technologies out there dedicated to helping drivers adapt safer habits on the road. However, when it comes down to the final, critical moment before an accident, even the safest driver can't always think straight. Thankfully, Nissan has done the thinking for you. Since 2005, the automaker has included Brake Override Technology standard across their entire lineup.

We all know it. The impending sound of a siren wailing in our ear as we cruise down the Clarksville highway, nervously checking our speedometers and pumping the brakes. Imagine then glancing over your shoulder and seeing not just any old two-toned police car zooming toward you but a tricked out Nissan GT-R flashing its lights and emitting its raring warning. Slightly more intimidating we'd say.
